Ni Shixiong Qian Xuming
Abstract: Since the Eighteenth CPC National Congress, the new central collective leadership with Comrade Xi Jinping as General Secretary have met challenges squarely, seized opportunities to blaze new trails in a pioneering spirit, and striven to create a new situation in Chinese diplomacy in the complex international environment. China's diplomatic work in the new era meets the new need of the trend of the times and the world, adapts to the new requirements of deepening reform, and is a new development upon the past. After more than one year's hard work, the new generation of leaders have successfully led the people of the whole country in stabilizing and expanding relations with great powers, stabilizing and developing friendly relations with neighboring countries, actively getting involved in multilateral diplomacy with new confidence, determination and perseverance, and carrying out semi-official or people-to-people exchanges on multiple levels, thereby making positive progress in the work on new great power diplomacy, new neighboring diplomacy, new multilateral diplomacy and new public diplomacy.
